Norbrygg is Norway’s largest non-profit organisation for everyone interested in home brewing and beer judging. Founded in 1998, we unite more than 4,000 members across the country.
Our purpose:
- To promote interest in home brewing and preserve the cultural heritage of Norwegian brewing traditions.
- To encourage a responsible beer culture and help reduce the negative consequences of alcohol consumption.
- To ensure a high professional standard among members by organising competitions, education, meetings, and social activities.
What we offer:
- Local activities such as tastings, off-flavour courses, competitions, beer festivals, online courses, brewery visits, and beer judge training.
- Norway’s largest online forum for home brewers – a place for questions, advice, and inspiration.
- National events including the annual Norwegian Homebrewing Championship and the Nordic Championship
- We train and educate beer judges and maintain beer style guidelines.
International collaboration:
Norbrygg is an associated member of the European Beer Consumers’ Union (EBCU).
Together with sister organisations in the Nordic countries we organise the Nordic homebrewing championship.
